Textile fashion firm Mango has made an investment of 27 million euros in order to expand its headquarters facilities, located in Palau-Solità I Plegamans, in Barcelona. This investment consisted in the purchase of a warehouse adjacent to its current design center, extending, therefore, to a third building, which would add 17,000 m2 to its two main facilities.
This new warehouse would host the new lines created by Mango to reach a wider audience. Thus, the warehouse will be occupied by the staff of “He by Mango” –the male line- and of “Violeta” and “Rebels” –the new lines that will be launched in 2014, addressed to teenagers and mature women, respectively-. In its design center, known as “Hangar”, would be still occupied by the current lines of the brand –“Touch”, “Kids” and “Sport & Intimates”- and will be interconnected with the new warehouse, sharing both the current entrance.
Parallel investment to the construction of the Logistics Park in Lliçà d’Amunt
The works of the new warehouse will begin this summer, building the new 17,000 m2, which will reach –in addition to the current existing headquarters’s area- a total of 41,849 m2.
This investment of 27 million euros is performed in parallel to the construction of the new logistics platform in Lliçà d’Amunt, whose construction began in February and it is scheduled to be completed in 5 years.
